Avening Playgroup is a charity (Registration Number 900618) run by a committee of volunteers, parents and carers. The Committee is essential to keep the playgroup running and has to include parents and carers of children currently attending the playgroup to be able to open. The committee manages the day-to-day affairs of the playgroup.

Avening Playgroup aims to provide equality and inclusion for all children in the setting, and is committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that the welfare of their child is paramount. The playgroup recognises that parents and carers are the first educators of their children and will support their essential work.

Parent Partnership
We believe that parents are the best educators for their children. We therefore value input from ALL parents in the day-to-day happenings at the playgroup. Parents are informed in a variety of ways including development files, newsletters, parent meetings and more.
Our Chair
Krista Jones is our current chair. She is responsible for supporting the Playgroup across the year and ensuring the smooth running of our fundraising events. She also makes a very good cupcake!
